Synopsis

Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros. and is the sequel to Super Mario Bros.: The Movie, which grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide in 2023. Both the 2023 film and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie are produced by Illumination's Chris Meledandri and Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto.

The film will be co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo, and distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures.

Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic return to direct the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel, with the score composed by Brian Tyler, as in the first film.
