Synopsis
Five cities. Five taxi rides. Five episodes. The boyish Los Angeles-based taxi driver Corky turns down a job offer from Hollywood. In New York, Eastern German taxi driver Helmut is as overburdened by the English language as he is by his automatic gearbox. A blind woman in Paris surprises a proud Ivorian with her sharp sightedness. A chatterbox in sunglasses races through the streets of Rome. And finally we meet Mika and his drunken, self-pitying passengers in Helsinki. Jim Jarmusch’s ode to the urban owls and taxi drivers of this world has lost none of its charm over the years.
